This is one of my favorite nail polish brands, and I like the colors, the bottle, the nail polish brush and the way the nail polish looks on my nails.

When I saw Butter London Pistol Pink Nail Polish in person, I had to buy it. In a bottle, it looked very pretty. The color was medium pink, with lots of silvery shine in it. A perfect, beautiful color for end of summer and beginning of fall.

Once I bought it, I just had to try it out. I put some base coat on my nails, let it dry, and then put some Butter London Pistol Pink nail polish on my finger.

The color was still very beautiful, but it was not like the color you see in the bottle. In the bottle it looks like this shimmery, medium pink nail polish, with lots of silver shimmer in it. On the nails, it looks darker, think burgundy, with much more subtle shimmer.

Good news — if you are looking for less silver shimmer, and darker, more office appropriate nail polish, the actual color is definitely more appropriate than what you would imagine the color would be, if you just look at the bottle.

I have to say, that while I was slightly disappointed that it was not shimmery pink, I love the actual color of this nail polish. It is sophisticated, but it still has a bit of shimmer, at the same time.
