Beauty Products Reviews: Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer Blue Blaze Review

I like trying new nail polish shades, so I was pretty excited to try the latest nail polish by Maybelline, Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer. I have read about Maybelline's new colors for fall 2013, and wanted to see what they were. The colors looked pretty fabulous online, so I went to take a look at them at the store.

The Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer comes in four different shades:

Mystic Green	Alluring Rose
Blue Blaze	Lavender Lustre

Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer comes in four different colors. Mystic Green is a green color. Alluring Rose is a gold metallic color. Blue Blaze is a nice blue, and Lavender Lustre is a fabulous purple color.

I didn't put the Blue Blaze and Lavender Lustre next to each randomly. When I looked at the two of them at the store, and compared the nail polish colors in the bottles, they looked kind of similiar.

Lavender Lustre has a much more pronounced purple shade, and Blue Blaze looks bluer. However, the shades looked similar to me. Since I have many purple nail polishes already, and I wanted to try just one, I bought the Blue Blaze. I really liked this shade of blue, the blue-ish/silverish one.

This nail polish is very similar to Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel, in Moonlit Woods. While the Revlon Moonlit Woods nail enamel looks purple in the bottle, it definitely looks more blue on the nail, and very similar to the Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer Blue Blaze.

So far, I am really liking the color and the nail polish itself. The nail polish brush is smaller-to-medium, and it doesn't get too much nail polish on it.

You will definitely need more than one coat of nail polish on your nails. One coat is way too sheer, and you can see the nail through it. Two coats of the nail polish are enough, there is enough color and two coats provide a nice coverage. For even more intense color, try three coats. And don't forget to use a top coat, so that the nail polish does not start chipping too soon.

How To Use Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer Blue Blaze

To use Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer Blue Blaze, first apply a base coat to your nails. Then, apply the first coat of the nail polish. Let it dry, then apply the second coat.

Now, decide how intense you will want the blue color to be on your nails. You can stop with two coats, but for a more intense blue color, you can add a third coat of Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Lacquer.

Once you are done with applying nail polish, let it dry. Then, apply top coat, to keep the beautiful nail polish from chipping.

As with any nail polish, you will a nail polish remover to remove old nail polish, a base coat, and a top coat.
