– Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick in Patina Shimmer, a liquid lipstick, but with shimmer! I have never been a fan of liquid lipsticks, as they have been pretty drying for me. So I have not tried many liquid lipsticks. However, I have been interested in trying this liquick lipstick in Patina shimmer. It is not drying, and I really like it. The color is great too!
The size of this Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick in Patina Shimmer is 0.05 oz. The full size of this liquid lipstick is 0.1 oz and it retails for $22. This lipstick is half of a full size! The value of this sample is $11.
– [ comfort zone ] Hydramemory Cream Gel, a higher level of hydration with this rich yet lightweight cream gel. Infused with macro hyaluronic acid for a double dose of moisture, plus moringa oil and natural extracts, it quenches skin and keeps it that way all day without the use of silicones.
The size of this [ comfort zone ] Hydramemory Cream Gel is 0.27 oz. The full size of this cream gel is 2.13 oz and it retails for $64. This means that the value of this sample is $8.11.
– MAC Cosmetics In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara, This mascara’s lightweight formula adds volume, length, and curl while conditioning your eyelashes. The wand features a big, fluffy brush with three reservoirs so you can apply the maximum amount of mascara with each stroke.
I can’t find the size of this mascara on the sample, but it is definitely smaller than the small size available for sale. Let’s say that the value of this mascara is $3.
– Number 4™ Jour d’automne Smoothing Balm, for the time-crunched multitaskers out there, this balm is the faster equivalent of a hair mask. Whether you have dry, frizz-prone, or coarse hair, the hardworking formula simultaneously minimizes frizz, gives hair a soft, touchable texture, and even protects against humidity and heat damage.
The size of this Number 4™ Jour d’automne Smoothing Balm is 1 oz. The full size is 5.1 oz, and it retails for $30, which means that the value of this sample is $5.88.
– Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle, Beauty Protector’s leave-in mist is about as versatile as they come. This paraben- and sulfate-free detangler seals the cuticles of each strand to smooth hair and moisturizes, which helps minimize frizz.
I can’t find the size of the Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle on my sample, we will assume it is 1 oz. The value of this sample is $3.75.
I was happy about cream gel, MAC mascara and Stila lipstick. Not that happy with two hair care products, but as this was the first box that I received, I am looking forward to receiving the next ones. Four products (except for the mascara) are new to me, so that is great for trying new products.
Let’s calculate the value of this Birchbox: $11 + $8.11 + $3 + $5.88 + $3.75 = $31.74.
This is a pretty impressive value, as the price of this box is $10.
