I like Target, so I was pretty excited when I first learned about Target Beauty Boxes. Those typically sell out very fast, so it took me a while to be able to purchase one.
I purchased the Target Refresh Beauty Box, and I am pretty happy with the products I received. First of all, you know which products will be included in your beauty box upfront, before you decide whether to buy it or not. This definitely helps to make a buying decision. The price of this box was $7.

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion, In-Shower Body Lotion deeply moisturizes the skin. Result: Skin is left feeling smooth and moisturized right after the shower.
Marlowe Extra Moisturizing Lotion, an intense moisturizer which helps to soften and smooth dry skin.
Clear Total Care Shampoo, this shampoo gently cleanses and nourishes the scalp and hair.
Clear Total Care Conditioner, a companion to the above shampoo.

First thing that I saw was the box that the products came in, and I really like the packaging. The box the products came in was very sturdy, and I really like the design. The box is all black, with red Target logo, and words “Beauty Box” in white.

John Frieda Keraflex Hair Spray, the value of this 2 oz bottle of hair spray is $8.54. Wow, this product alone costs more than the whole box, as the price of this Beauty Box was $7.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, it is great when the price of just one item is already more than the price of the box or set. That means you are getting a great value!
Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Pads, the price of 60 pads is $12.99. The sample in the box contained 5 pads. The value of the sample is $1.08.
ACURE Day Cream, the price of 1.75 oz of this cream is $16.99. The cream included in the box is 1 oz, and the value of it is $9.71. Here is another item that costs more than the whole box!
Clear Total Care Shampoo And Conditioner, 12.9 oz of this shampoo costs $7. The shampoo that came in the box is 1.7 oz and the conditioner is 1.7 oz as well, for 3.4 oz overall. The value of the shampoo and conditioner is $1.84.
ScunciBraided Elastic Bands, six of these hair bands retail for $2.87. The value of two of them is 96 cents.
Marlowe Extra Moisturizing Lotion, 15 oz of this lotion cost $9.99. The tube that came in the box contains 1 oz of the lotion, and the value of it is 67 cents.
Simple Micellar Wipes, 25 wipes cost $6.99. Wow, this item alone costs $6.99, and the price of the whole box was $7.
Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion, 13.5 oz cost $5.99. This tube in the box is 2.7 oz, and the value of it is $1.20.
The value of this box is the value of all items added together. We already know that the value is going to be pretty good, as there are three items whose value is more or pretty close to $7, the price of the whole box. Let’s do the calculations:
The value of the box is: $8.54 + $1.08 + $9.71 + $1.84 + $0.96 + $0.67 + $6.99 + $1.20 = $30.99.
$30.99 value for the cost of $7. This is a pretty good value. I now understand why Target Beauty Boxes sell out in a matter of hours. I am definitely looking forward to more Target Beauty Boxes.
